DHS should improve and expand its education efforts

The 2008 Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative's (CNCI) Education Initiative addresses expansion in education, requiring partnerships with key agencies to develop a strategy and recommendations for prioritizing and redirecting current education efforts.

DHS partners with the National Cybersecurity Alliance with the Cybersecurity Awareness Volunteer Education (C-SAVE) Project.

Along with the National Security Agency (NSA), DHS co-sponsors the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAE). DHS also partners with the National Science Foundation to co-sponsor the Federal Cyber Service: Scholarship for Service (SFS) program.

What improvements can be made to these programs, and what other areas should DHS focus its education efforts?
